Yesterday we were seen by the neurologist. He was very comforting. He did a spinal tap in Brett there in his office. The normal spinal fluid pressure should be 25 or below. (25 is high) Brett's was over 40. This is very very high. At this point the doctor told us about psuedo cranial tumor. Basically fake head tumor It is a condition where the spinal fluid makes an excess and created tumore like pressure behind the eyes which in turn create a massive headache. He went ahead and admitted Brett to the hospital because Brett can't function anymore. This would start the 72 hour therapy for serious migraines. As of this morning he is not feeling any better. The spinal tap however did come back positive for viral meningitis. This would create a very seriuos headache. Today they did another MRI and EKG. He would not open his eyes and was incoheriant after a shower this morning. Both of those tests have come back normal and fine. The neurologist said that the meningitis is one that will run its course, and that can be anywhere from 2days to 2weeks. We are hoping that it is not two weeks. The hospital did block off the 2nd bed that is in his room so that he won't have to share and they have brought in a recliner. It was very hard for Brittany to leave Brett at the hospital last night all alone. But there was nowhere for her to sit, besides one hard small chair.
We are hoping and praying that he will recover faster then slower. He needs some relief from this pounding head of his.

Heard about Brett from Marcia, and we're praying for him. I hope everything works out okay in the end. At least now you know what it is so he can begin the recovery process.
